Printer Laser Color Dell 3110cn cannot get it to print in color Keeps reverting to black and white even when I manually set it to print color?

the subject printer will not allow me to change it to print in color.  It keeps reverting to black and white even after I change it manually.  It keeps sending the print to a Chipset and I do not know why and cannot figure this problem out.
