I've investigated the below issue a little and haven't been able to find a recent resolved thread anywhere.
There is a known issue with Dell 3100/3000 printers where they display out of memory messages when seeing large or complex files (Dell KB PSQN 271958). The original suggestions are to get more memory, reduce the settings and by extension print quality, or to use a PS driver. I would prefer to change the driver but here's the problem; PS drivers haven't been supported for this model since Windows XP when this solution was originally suggested. The dell open print driver also didn't have a compatible PS driver available for this model.
Out printers are networked and we have several shared Dell 3100cn and 3000cn printers on our 2008 servers used mainly by windows 7 PCs. The driver we use is the compatible PCL driver. So I would like to know where a compatible driver or emulator for the model is for more recent operating systems.
