Photo 926 SLOW in WIN 7, Dell driver installation dialog is in Arabic

I am trying to fix a SLOW printer issue in Windows 7 Professional SP1 64bit.  I Update WIN 7 automatically, so the O/S is current.  The printer used to work fine.

I rarely use the printer, as it is for a charity that is inactive during the winter months, so as I said, I have no idea if there was a WIN 7 update that caused this or some other event that perhaps damaged the drivers.  It's probably been like this for around a year...I'm finally doing something about it.

It takes forever for the Print Dialog to open when I click on "Print," and then for documents (Word, Excel, pdf, whatever) to print a couple of lines, wait for a minute or two, print a couple of lines, wait a minute or two.  It easily takes 5 minutes to print a single page.  I can use the laptop while it is printing, so it's not as though there is NO spooler.

The printer is connected directly to the laptop with a USB cable.  Scanning communication speed is fine.  I only connect to the laptop when I want to print.  The printer power is unplugged when not in use, so as to protect it from power surges.  When I want to print, I plug in the usb cable, connect the printer a/c power, and turn on the printer.  My laptop always "sees" it then.

I decided to reinstall the drivers, so I went to the Dell support page here: www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails;fileId=2731112742&osCode=W764&productCode=dell-926&languageCode=en&categoryId=PR

and download R260215.exe to my hard drive.

When I double-clicked the file and ran it, the Windows part about opening the executable was in English, but the Dell dialog is in Arabic.  Not knowing which button was "Cancel," I stopped the program using Task Manager.  I ran it again and had the same results.  As you can see from the URL, languageCode=en

#1: Any suggestions other than the drivers to fix this printer issue?  I see lots of "Win 7 prints slowly" issues on the web, but no real solutions.

#2: Obviously, I would like to get the drivers in English.

Thank you.
